Wandsmith lore of the day..

Wands created during peak periods of lunar or solar cycles (ie- full moons or solar maximums) tend to be more energetic. For some woods, like Zebrawood, this will also be true during new moons. Wands created during this time possess a much greater chance of being “Alpha” wands that other wands will yield to, depending on the wood. However, wands created leading up to, during and soon after Samhain will have higher chances of not only being “Alpha’s “, but will contain a more phasing energy that can be true to that woods typical profile, but also be able to pick up and mimic other energies during its lifetime.
